About The Position

The Director of Day Habilitation Services at JM Murray is responsible for promoting, coordinating, developing, and overseeing all aspects of Day Habilitation and Respite Day Hab services. This role involves ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations, supervising staff, and maintaining program equipment and facilities. The director will also manage clinical and consultant services, oversee nursing services, and ensure accurate record-keeping and employee supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, psychology, or a related field is required.
• 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver's License and proof of NYS minimum insurance coverage are required.
• Clearance through a Background Check process is required.

• Associate's degree with significant experience in a similar position may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Promote, coordinate, develop, and oversee Day Habilitation and Respite Day Hab services.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations.
• Supervise staff and oversee the delivery of services.
• Act as the designated liaison for First Transit and all transportation providers.
• Maintain company vehicles, program equipment, and the physical plant.
• Oversee activities, clinical and consultant services, and nursing services.
• Ensure accurate and complete records are maintained.
• Review and approve timecards for staff.
• Assist with hiring staff and complete performance reviews.
• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to employees.
