About The Position

The Director of Data & Reporting will lead Mutual of Enumclaw’s enterprise analytics function, driving the organization’s ability to access, trust, and act on data. This role oversees descriptive analytics, dashboarding, data quality, governance, and analytics operations, including BI, reporting, data product management, and model deployment pipeline coordination. Acting as the bridge between IT/data engineering and analytics consumers, this leader will ensure reliable, timely, and consistent information for decision-making across all business areas.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership in building and managing enterprise analytics functions.
  • Strong understanding of BI tools, data visualization, and self-service analytics platforms.
  • Expertise in data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata practices.
  • Ability to define and manage SLAs, prioritize requirements, and coordinate across technical and business teams.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, data engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — capable of translating data insights into business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with analytics operations concepts such as MLOps/ModelOps and data product lifecycle management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data management roles, with at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Demonstrated success implementing enterprise-wide data governance and analytics strategies.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, including video conferencing.

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or a similar regulated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the analytics product portfolio supporting descriptive and diagnostic insights, including dashboards, operational reports, scorecards, and self-service analytics for Underwriting, Claims, Sales, Product, and Finance.
  • Define standards for data accessibility, cataloging, quality metrics, and ownership models. Partner with IT/data engineering to establish and manage service-level agreements (SLAs) and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead enterprise data governance initiatives, including master data management, data lineage, definition consistency, and stewardship across all business units.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of business intelligence and dashboard development — from requirements gathering through design, development, testing, rollout, user training, and adoption monitoring.
  • Implement analytics operations frameworks (MLOps/ModelOps where applicable) to support reproducible, automated analytics pipelines. Maintain standards for analytic environments and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
