About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Director of Data Operations to provide strategic leadership for University Advancement and Foundation data operations. This position oversees the University’s constituent and financial data ecosystem, including data governance, policies, and operational frameworks that support fundraising, engagement, marketing, and financial reporting. The Director sets the vision for data stewardship, quality, and responsible data use to ensure data integrity, compliance, and long-term sustainability. The Director of Data Operations leads the Data Operations team by establishing standards, priorities, workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data literacy, automation, and analytical readiness. This role partners closely with Advancement Services, Finance, Alumni Engagement, Development, Communications & Marketing, and campus stakeholders to ensure Advancement’s data environment is reliable, accessible, compliant, and strategically leveraged to advance institutional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of professional related work experience OR Master’s Degree and three (3) years of professional related work experience.
  • Experience overseeing donor or constituent data and CRM systems across the full fundraising or engagement lifecycle, including providing strategic oversight of enterprise data initiatives and third-party vendor solutions or related experience.
