About The Position

MMUUSD is seeking an experienced, visionary Director of Curriculum to lead districtwide curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning. This leadership role works collaboratively across all schools to ensure high-quality, standards-based, proficiency-based, and innovative learning experiences for all students. The Director of Curriculum: Leads the design, selection, development, and evaluation of curriculum, assessment, and instructional programs across PK–12. Guides long-range planning for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning. Drives continuous improvement efforts and the development of innovative academic programs. Supports educational technology integration to enhance and transform teaching and learning. Collaboratively leads elementary, middle, and secondary system transformation initiatives. Oversees programs including (but not limited to) Title I, Spanish Immersion Program, prevention, student wellness, teacher mentoring, instructional leadership teams, and Title II-A professional development. About Our District MMUUSD serves a vibrant, supportive rural community in eastern Chittenden County, located between Burlington and Montpelier. Our district includes five PreK–4 schools, two grades 5–8 middle schools, and a comprehensive 9–12 high school. Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Education or a related field, plus 3–5 years of relevant K–12 curriculum leadership experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Demonstrated expertise in: differentiated instruction, formative assessment, standards-based curriculum and assessment, supportive learning environments, technology integration, and development of 21st-century skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Valid Vermont Professional Educator License with the Curriculum Director endorsement and Administrative endorsement.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Prior Principal experience preferred.
