About The Position

The Director of Cultural Faith Based Empowerment Program at Envision Unlimited is responsible for fostering relationships with faith-based organizations and overseeing mental health outreach and support initiatives. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing programs that connect individuals in need with mental health services. The director will also engage in community outreach, training, and program evaluation to enhance the organization's impact in the community.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Master of Divinity, pastoral counseling preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in the social service field, with at least 3 years in a mental health program.
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with houses of worship and faith-based entities.
  • Supervise a mental health specialist and peer mentors conducting outreach and training on mental illness.
  • Provide linkage case management to mental health services for members in need.
  • Participate in administrative decision-making with the Vice President & Director of Mental Health.
  • Maintain compliance with DHS, Division of Mental Health, CQL, and other regulations.
  • Assist in program development, policy creation, and program evaluation.
  • Build relationships with local community mental health centers and behavioral health providers.
  • Ensure consumers experience a warm handoff to mental health services.
  • Assist clients in navigating waiting lists and accessing care.
  • Design training opportunities for staff based on program needs.
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators for the Successful Transition Program.
  • Gather data and complete quarterly funder reports.
  • Provide direct supervision and training to staff, including student interns and contract workers.
  • Attend weekly supervisions and participate in committees and client events.
  • Develop an extensive resource network for clients.
  • Implement community presentations about the program.
  • Manage referrals, admissions, and discharges.
