About The Position
Macalester College is seeking our next Director of Counseling at the Hamre Center for Health & Well-Being. This role will provide leadership, vision, and strategic planning for the work of the counseling services department in support of Macalester College students. They will lead the operation of counseling services including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, outreach, consultation, and referrals. They will lead a diverse and committed team of six other counseling staff. The successful candidate will embrace working in a highly collaborative, integrated care center and with our multidisciplinary leadership team. They will demonstrate a commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity, actively engaging in learning and practicing principles of social justice. They will also support a welcoming and inclusive environment across the Macalester community and within the Hamre Center. This is a full-time, exempt position with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office, and 1 day per week to work from home during the academic year (2 days per week to work from home during the summer).
