About The Position

The Director of Corporate Compliance ensures Survival Flight adheres to legal standards and in­ house policies. The Director of Corporate Compliance should be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. Possess high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. This position requires a highly perceptive person who is comfortable taking a stand but can also relate to individuals at all organizational levels. The Director of Corporate Compliance must be very organized, attentive to detail, can work independently, and does not require direct supervision to complete the job.

Requirements

  • 3 years' proven experience as a compliance manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or Industry Certification.
  • Able to work after hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with legal guidelines and internal policy violations.
  • Provides audit information to management by researching and analyzing data and preparing reports.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improving them continuously.
  • Revising procedures, reports, etc., periodically to identify hidden risk or non-conformity issues.
  • An analytical mind able to see the complexities of procedures and regulations.
  • Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations.
  • Supports departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with auditors and various departments.
  • Provides administrative support by recommending systems, procedures, and policies, completing projects and supporting compliance auditors.
  • Help others by answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions. Possess a working knowledge of State and local EMS license processes.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
  • Travel to base locations as needed.
  • Enhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests: exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Have a working knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA, medical crew certification, and tracking licensure.
  • Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
  • Review colleagues' work when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
  • Communication skills possess excellent written and verbal skills emphasizing research, analyzing information, reporting procedures, and record keeping.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Possess general math and statistical analysis skills.
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
  • May or may not have direct reports.
