About The Position

The Director of Concurrent Enrollment & School Partnerships (DCESP) serves as the lead Academic Affairs contact for OCCC concurrent enrollment courses conducted at partner high school sites. This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of college courses taught on high school campuses, ensuring academic quality, compliance with OSRHE policies, and effective communication between OCCC and secondary school partners. Oversight of other concurrent enrollment activities-including those offered on the OCCC campus or online-is not part of this role. The Director works collaboratively with high school administrators, counselors, OCCC deans, department chairs, and faculty to coordinate course scheduling, monitor instructional quality, and foster partnerships that expand early college and dual-credit opportunities at high school sites. This role also requires frequent travel to partner high schools and participation in related school and community events.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of higher education or K-12 education involving academic administration, academic program coordination, faculty leadership, and institutional partnerships or inter-agency collaborations.
  • Demonstrated experience using data systems for course scheduling, tracking, and reporting or willingness to learn.
  • Evidence of successful collaboration across institutional departments and with external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of OCCC concurrent and dual enrollment requirements, OSRHE regulations, and academic quality standards for college courses taught in high schools.
  • Knowledge of curriculum processes, academic operations, faculty support systems, and budget and personnel practices.
  • Knowledge of leadership and management principles, college programs of study, and higher education procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related educational technology systems.
  • Strong judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving, professionalism, interpersonal communication skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, anticipate issues, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare accurate reports, and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to travel to partner high schools and participation in related school and community events.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (preferred area Education or related field)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience at a community college in administration, including staff supervision.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting concurrent or dual-credit programs.
  • Prior teaching experience in a college or high school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Set annual goals that contribute to the College's mission and Enrollment Management Plan.
  • Manage departmental budget effectively and in compliance with institutional guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary OCCC contact for concurrent enrollment course sections taught at partner high school sites.
  • Collaborate with partner high school administrators and counselors to schedule course sections that support student educational goals and degree pathways.
  • Work with Deans, Chairs, and faculty to coordinate concurrent course scheduling, staffing, and instructional support at partner high school sites.
  • Verify classroom and technology readiness; coordinate with ITS to resolve technical or instructional delivery issues.
  • Provide ongoing communication and support to faculty teaching at high school sites.
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for concurrent faculty in collaboration with the Center for Learning & Teaching (CLT).
  • Maintain accurate records of course enrollments, faculty assignments, and classroom locations to enhance program quality.
  • Work with Student Affairs to ensure course offerings support associate degree pathways.
  • Collect and analyze course-related data from educational sites and submit required reports on time.
  • Evaluate and enhance concurrent enrollment processes at partner high schools and recommend improvements and ensure alignment with OSRHE and institutional standards.
  • Support outreach, communication, and partnership-building activities between OCCC and secondary education institutions.
  • Coordinate signing and record-keeping of annual concurrent enrollment contracts.
  • Attend college fairs, partner high school events, and community events as needed.
  • Participate in institutional committees and professional development to advance OCCC's academic partnerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Academic Affairs and institutional goals.
  • Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.
  • Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.
  • Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.
  • Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
