About The Position

The Community Investment Director for Sacramento Republic FC is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive Community Investment strategy that aligns with the club's core values. This role focuses on maintaining a positive community presence, fostering resilience and unity, and implementing impactful programs that address local needs, promote health and well-being, and engage youth in sports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in community relations, CSR, health initiatives, or a similar role, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong strategic planning and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and managing community partnerships focused on health and youth exercise.
  • Knowledge of charitable giving regulations and CSR best practices.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft 365 suite.

  • Experience in the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Knowledge of health program management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead an integrated Community Investment strategy that embodies SRFC's values.
  • Guide initiatives around charitable contributions, volunteerism, and community programs promoting health and active lifestyles.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff and interns to deliver community-focused programs.
  • Build and sustain relationships with health organizations, nonprofits, corporate partners, and local government entities.
  • Serve as SRFC's ambassador at community meetings and events.
  • Oversee engagement plans addressing community needs and regional priorities.
  • Design and manage a calendar of special events, outreach initiatives, and health-focused programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to amplify the reach of health and wellness programs.
  • Coordinate game-day presentations and health-focused community events.
  • Manage SRFC's player/staff appearance schedule to promote community involvement.
  • Partner with PR and marketing teams to develop messaging around community efforts and CSR initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of community programs, ensuring alignment with organizational values.
  • Manage the budget for the Community Investment department, including tracking expenses and forecasting.
  • Oversee charitable ticket programs, in-kind donations, and merchandise allocations.
