The University of Virginia is a highly competitive Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence. The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is looking to fill the position of Director of College Scouting to support the Men's Football program. The Director of College Scouting position exists to provide support for the football recruiting unit and lead all efforts for recruitment of transfer prospects for the University of Virginia Football Program.

  • Manage evaluation & scouting process for all college prospects.
  • Work with Chief of Staff and Director of Player Personnel with any third-party consultants related to college scouting.
  • Organize film library in Catapult for transfer prospects.
  • Track all transfer portal entries.
  • Maintain 'ready lists' at each position for transfer prospects.
  • Work with Director of Player Personnel to develop tiered recruiting board for transfer prospects.
  • Produce advance reports of opponents.
  • Monitor weekly 'availability reports' in-season for all opponents.
  • Produce internal scouting reports on our own roster.
  • Responsible for character evaluation for transfer prospects.
  • Support the development and management of prospect communication/correspondence to ensure consistent, timely, and effective outreach for all active transfer prospects.
  • Assist Chief of Staff with execution of Pro Day.
  • Assist with all Summer Football Camps.
  • Assist Director of On-Grounds Recruiting with all prospect visits.
  • Assist with the execution of all recruiting events.
  • May assist with on field football technical and tactical coaching.
  • Empower our players to live from the HEART.
  • Follow all rules of University of Virginia, Virginia Football, NCAA, ACC, and CSC.
  • Assist in promoting an atmosphere of compliance. Get approval from the Compliance Staff before acting to ensure actions are consistent with NCAA, ACC, and CSC rules.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: Two years of relevant experience in collegiate athletics program support.
