About The Position

The Clinical Services Director serves as a key member of leadership on the senior management team. Directs operations of Social Services, patient services programs to include the planning, monitoring and execution of quality patient care and clinical programs in compliance with regulatory standards. Oversees supervision of licensed and non-licensed clinical therapists. Serves as clinical liaison with the continuum of care services. Contributes to the development of programs for specialized adult patient populations for inpatient and the continuum of care. In conjunction with community resources, contributes to the maintenance of relationships with outside agencies, private practitioners, insurers and family members. Participates in parish and regional meetings of the public mental health providers. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s specific needs and provide clinical treatment and care. Performs duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population, three (3) years previous clinical supervisory role in an inpatient psychiatric setting and administrative/ management experience required.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Louisiana licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW,LCSW-BACS) required.
  • Computer software and keyboard proficiency, ability to operate various types of office equipment such as copier, scanner, and fax machines, phone systems, etc. required.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, and reach office supplies and files.
  • Must be able to communicate successfully, both orally and written, to a variety of internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
