The Director of Clinical Operations manages daily clinical activities, ensuring high-quality, compliant patient care, overseeing clinical staff, providing staff training, managing budgets, directing strategy, and bridging clinical teams with administration for our primary care and urgent care locations (Montrose, Ridgway, Delta, Cedaredge and Clifton) . Reports directly to CMO. Key Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Directs daily clinic activities. Manage workflows, patient flow, and ensure efficient resource use. Manage supplies, budgets and vendor relationships. Travel throughout locations as needed and determined. Quality & Compliance: Implement quality assurance, monitor standards, and ensure adherence to company procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Leadership & Staff Management: Supervise clinical staff, manage performance, medical assistant training and support, and foster overall professional development within the clinics. Serve on the Leadership Team providing strategic guidance, Board of Directors updates and KPI presentations. Strategic Planning: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, process improvement, and align operations with overall organizational goals. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate regularly with CMO, Director of Population Health, the leadership team, and other departments to resolve issues and drive initiatives. Job requirements This position is required on site 3-4 days per week, minimum. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in a high-case load, rapidly changing priority work environment. Ability to cultivate strong professional client-service rapport Must be experienced in a physician’s office or equivalent combination of training and experience. Must possess strong leadership and experience managing multi-disciplinary teams. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience in healthcare operations, compliance, data analysis, and process improvement, experience in direct clinic management preferred. RN or LPN with extensive healthcare leadership experience considered. Education: Bachelor's degree or great preferred: BSN, NP, PA Clinical Licensure: RN or LPN with extensive healthcare leadership experience considered. Experience: 2+ years of supervision experience required Mental and Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities that are mostly sedentary with occasional standing, walking, reaching. Daily and repetitive data entry may cause nerve problems unless ergonomic techniques are used. Periodic stress occurs from handling many calls and dealing with patient requests. Conditions: The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, labs, hospitals and other members of the public on a regular basis. The position may cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinical environment. All done!
