Promotes exemplary nursing informatics practice that is evidence-based and is informed by nursing practice and clinical informatics standards. The incumbent collaborates with other MedStar System Clinical Nursing Informatics and Information System leaders in providing leadership in the organization's ongoing assessment, evaluation, planning, development, implementation, education and performance improvement for clinical information system processes, clinical workflows, and integration for the Department of Nursing for the entity(ies), and the MSH system. The Multisite Director incorporates the organization's strategic objectives for patient care in the management and evaluation of MSH clinical information systems and point of care clinical technologies and directs the management of clinical systems to meet the standards of the entity(ies) and health system. The incumbent will utilize their knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer application and to ensure that Clinical Information Systems are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice, including the Joint Commission and other related standards and regulatory requirements. The Multisite Director works across Medstar clinical information system platforms to ensure patient safety and quality of patient care through on-line documentation, integration, data analytics, and improved workflow efficiencies.
