Position Summary The Director of Clinical Education - Physical Therapy Assisting (PTA) program is responsible for administration, planning, implementation and evaluation of the clinical component of the campus's PTA program. Works closely with the Program Director and Campus President to maintain a process for clinical site contracting to ensure successful and long-term working relationships with facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree required.
- Holds an active, unencumbered PT license or PTA license/certification in any United States jurisdiction and is in compliance with the practice act in the jurisdiction of program location.
- Has a minimum of three years full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical practice
- Has a minimum of two years of clinical practice as an SCCE and/or CI or two years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in a physical therapy education program.
- Previous experience in customer service and contracting a plus.
- Travel and ability to work flexible hours is required. Day, evening and weekend hours are required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and willingness to learn new software applications.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation, professional protocols, and individual privacy;
- Strong skills in priority setting, multi-tasking, and organization.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of management, faculty and students.
- Excellent computer skills

- Previous experience in customer service and contracting a plus.
Responsibilities
- Developing, monitoring, and refining the clinical education component of the curriculum.
- Coordinating and implementing clinical education to include site placements, site visits and evaluation.
- Student counseling and advising.
- Classroom and laboratory instruction; course development.
