Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related area.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical education/supervision.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate clinical experiences for residential graduate students, both on-campus and off-campus, including externships.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships within JMU and the surrounding community.
• Oversee the successful matriculation of students ensuring all residential graduate students meet program and accreditation standards.
• Represent the JMU Speech-Language Clinic at the departmental, college, and university levels.
• Teach courses in the candidate's area of content expertise.
• Engage in clinical education and provide supervision as appropriate.
