This role ensures that clinical applications meet the needs of healthcare providers and align with the organization’s strategic goals. This position is remote, will require travel.

Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline required.
Four (4) years healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Two (2) years functional experience with Cerner preferred.
Prior EMR/Facility implementation experience required.
Functional understanding of business practices.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
Advanced analytical, problem solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
Ability to travel on occasion as needed.
Ability to lead and manage employees and projects.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Clinical Application Support Specialists.
Collaborate with clinical and IT leadership to align application strategies with organizational goals.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for clinical application management.
Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of clinical applications, including EMR systems.
Ensure applications are compliant with healthcare regulations and standards.
Monitor system performance and address any issues or inefficiencies.
Work closely with clinical staff to understand their needs and ensure applications support clinical workflows.
Facilitate training and support for end-users to maximize the effective use of clinical applications.
Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Lead projects related to the development and enhancement of clinical applications.
Ensure successful project delivery and post-implementation support.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in clinical applications.
Identify opportunities for system improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of clinical applications to ensure optimal performance.
