About The Position

Director – Supply Chain Development will be responsible to develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy and process which will be the basis for Weatherford’s synchronised rationalization of its service fulfillment system which incorporates all manufacturing and operations locations. The role will work alongside the function Executive team to align the future Supply Chain infrastructure to support the revised Manufacturing and Repair & Maintenance locations. This will include consideration for new supply infrastructure across new geographical areas as well as transitioning away from traditional support areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant oilfield or business discipline
  • 15+ years of operational, function or country management experience
  • 10+ years in leadership positions
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of driving change in an effective manner
  • Ability to operate successfully within a matrix management environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Supervisors & Managers should demonstrate effective safety leadership for the health and safety arrangements of all subordinates and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises
  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System
  • Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
  • Partner closely with category management and product lines to develop new capabilities in areas such as Asia and Mexico which will include a harmonized system of activity control and governance with common systems and policy deployment such as Material Resource Planning (MRP), Demand Resource Planning (DRP) and Vendor Management Inventory (VMI)
  • Coordinate with Sales and Engineering to ensure that subsequent work transfer activities to the new supply chain infrastructure / vendors are planned and executed effectively and efficiently, ensuring customer and product/process qualifications are fulfilled
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
  • Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
  • To understand the supply chain landscape and to develop a revised supply chain infrastructure the role will co-ordinate with various stakeholders within the Company including product lines, geozones, sales, category management, sourcing, planning, assets and inventory, and logistics
  • The role will work closely with the Category Management team to ensure that the commercial arrangements that are established with the new supply chain infrastructure meet the Company’s contractual and commercial targets and controls.
  • All employees have an accountability to the organization to be ficially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
  • To understand the supply chain landscape and to develop a revised supply chain infrastructure the role will co-ordinate with various stakeholders within the Company including product lines, geozones, sales, category management, sourcing, planning, assets and inventory, and logistics
  • The role will work closely with the Category Management team to ensure that the commercial arrangements that are established with the new supply chain infrastructure meet the Company’s contractual and commercial targets and controls.
  • Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience
  • Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential
  • Supervisors are expected to actively engaging their employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities
  • Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing talented workforce
