About The Position

A 516-bed acute care hospital in Atlantis, Florida is seeking a Director of Case Management to lead and oversee all hospital-based case management operations. This executive-level leader reports to the Division VP of Case Management and supervises a team of 31 FTEs. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for care coordination, discharge planning, utilization management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings recent acute care hospital case management leadership experience within a similarly sized facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Active RN, LCSW, or LMSW licensure
  • 3+ years of recent acute care hospital case management experience
  • Recent acute care experience within the past year
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree (Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration)
  • 2+ years of case management leadership experience
  • Leadership experience in a comparable size hospital (500+ beds preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Direct and evaluate all departmental operations, including staffing models, skill mix, onboarding, competencies, and use of information technology.
  • Oversee all core case management functions including care coordination, discharge planning, utilization review, and documentation integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and external agency requirements.
  • Partner with CFO and Division Case Management leadership to meet operational and financial performance targets.
  • Analyze departmental metrics and implement sustainable performance improvement initiatives.
  • Lead interdisciplinary collaboration with CMO, CNO, ancillary services, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and external agencies.
  • Allocate resources to meet productivity, quality, and throughput goals.
  • Maintain executive presence and lead change management initiatives.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $117,423 – $170,000 depending on years of experience
  • 0–3+ YOE: $117,423 – $130,000
  • 3+ YOE: $130,000 – $146,725
  • 5+ YOE: $146,725 – $155,000
  • 17.5% annual bonus opportunity
