The Director of Case Management will lead and expand the Border Butterflies Project’s case management program, ensuring that LGBTQ+ asylum seekers across the United States and at the southern border receive effective, coordinated, and compassionate support. This role requires both strategic program development and hands-on case management. With 300 active participants—ranging from light-touch support to intensive wraparound services—the Director will oversee a team of staff while also taking on cases directly, particularly when triage is needed or gaps arise. The ideal candidate is a trauma-informed leader who can balance staff supervision, burnout prevention, and boundary-setting with a deep commitment to participant care. The Director will design and implement strategies to scale services, improve risk assessment and harm reduction practices, and ensure responsive, participant-centered support.
