About The Position

The Director of Case Management is responsible for leading a dynamic team of clinical professionals in the execution of exemplary cross continuum care coordination. This position involves the development and implementation of the case management process, coordinating and supervising clinical case managers and social workers, and promoting quality patient care outcomes while supporting appropriate utilization/resources management. The role also facilitates the multidisciplinary case management process by coordinating the development and implementation of tools and systems for effective, efficient case management. This individual collaborates with market leaders, physicians, peers, community colleagues, and system leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in patient care and services, and to execute collaborative practices aligned with MultiCare Health System’s commitment to patient-centered care and community engagement. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure. MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hub serving Puyallup and East Pierce County, featuring a Family Birth Center, Level III Trauma and Neonatal ICUs, Level I Trauma Rehabilitation Center, Children’s Therapy Unit, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. It boasts innovative facilities like the LEED Gold-certified Dally Tower and Pulse Heart Institute, providing a dynamic and state-of-the-art environment for clinicians.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in health-related field
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Eight (8) years clinical experience
  • Five (5) years of healthcare leadership experience
  • Risk mitigation, financial and reimbursement experience
