Requirements

  • BSN or comparable undergraduate degree.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Business/Health Administration preferred.
  • 3 years cardiac cath or invasive vascular lab experience; prior management experience.
  • BLS and ACLS required through AHA.
  • Current RN license in the State of Florida.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight and direction of business activity within the following areas: Cath Lab, EKG, ECHO and EEG.
  • Demonstrates 24 hour responsibility for personnel and operations.
  • Planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating of economic growth, fiscal responsibility and the quality of the business related scope whether clinical or non clinical.
  • Demonstrates practices that promote the Mission and Vision of UHS and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times and other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates accountability and maturity in job performance.
  • Supports the hospital and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Proactively identifies issues or concerns and opportunities for improvement and addresses same within scope of responsibility.
  • Owns issues within department(s), researches specifics prior to escalating and follows through to closure.
  • Participates actively in On-Call as needed. Acts as the Chest Pain Center Coordinator.
  • Promotes collaborative relationships among the staff, medical staff, volunteers, the community and other departments within the system.
  • Collaborates with the SMG member in developing, setting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating standards of care and practice.
  • Participates on assigned community, hospital and medical committees.
  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
