About The Position

As the Director of Cardiovascular Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cardiovascular department, including the cardiac catheterization lab, cardiac rehabilitation, and other related services. You will work closely with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality cardiovascular care to patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiovascular services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, treatments, and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the cardiovascular department in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives
• Oversee the daily operations of the cardiac catheterization lab, cardiac rehabilitation, and other related services
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the cardiovascular department
• Manage and monitor department budgets, expenses, and revenue
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality performance and patient satisfaction
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment for staff
• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers to promote the services of the cardiovascular department
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cardiovascular care and make recommendations for improvement and growth
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients
• Serve as a resource and provide guidance to staff on complex patient cases and procedures
