About The Position

A leading medical center in the Margate, Florida region is seeking an experienced RN Director of Cardiovascular Services to oversee a comprehensive cardiovascular service line, including the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Pre/Post Holding Unit, and related clinical operations. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for operational performance, quality standards, staff engagement, patient satisfaction, resource utilization, and regulatory compliance. The director will lead approximately 26 FTEs (30 total headcount) across four cardiovascular units. This position requires an experienced cardiovascular leader with strong operational insight, multi-unit oversight experience, and proven success improving outcomes in Cath Lab, EP Lab, Neuro, and Interventional Radiology environments.

Requirements

  • Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (meeting Florida requirements).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN required).
  • Current BLS (within 30 days) and ACLS (within 30 days).
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care Cath Lab or EP Lab clinical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular leadership experience (Manager or Director level).
  • Experience overseeing multiple cardiovascular units simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success leading clinical teams and improving service-line outcomes.
  • Neuro and Interventional Radiology experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the cardiovascular service line, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
  • Oversee daily operations for the Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Pre/Post Holding areas, ensuring consistent workflow and staffing alignment.
  • Direct and evaluate clinical and operational performance across multiple cardiac and interventional units.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational policies.
  • Promote strong interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, clinical leaders, and support teams.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, staffing allocations, equipment utilization, and productivity targets.
  • Support recruitment, retention, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of RN and technical staff.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational liaison with patients, families, and physicians.
  • Drive service-line growth through process improvement, quality initiatives, and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and patient satisfaction across all cardiovascular departments.
