About The Position

The Director of Campus Ministry at Rockhurst University is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all spiritual programs aimed at fostering the faith development of students. This position is integral in creating a vibrant spiritual community on campus, supporting the holistic development of students in line with Jesuit traditions. The Director will manage the Campus Ministry Department, supervise staff, and coordinate various spiritual activities and retreats.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, or related field.
• Three or more years of experience working in college campus ministry or related ministry with effective leadership of programs.
• Understanding and appreciation of Ignatian Spirituality and Jesuit higher education principles.
• Active in the Catholic faith and competent in working with people of many cultures, ethnicities, and religious traditions.
• Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals.
• Effective pastoral and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the Campus Ministry Department including supervising, supporting, and providing direction to all Campus Ministry staff.
• Manage and maintain departmental budget and credit cards.
• Oversight of facilities associated with the department.
• Develop and oversee the Ignatian student retreat program.
• Develop a student campus minister program providing leadership opportunities for students.
• Provide individual pastoral support and spiritual accompaniment to students.
• Coordinate planning and logistics for various campus prayer services and monthly adoration, benediction, confession nights.
• Serve as liaison and resource for spiritually based student organizations.
