The Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for leading Gulf Winds' enterprise Business Intelligence Program. Responsible for the timely and reliable analysis of relevant credit union data. Responsible for correlating and deriving actionable business insights from various data sources. Proactively monitors overall credit union business performance trends and provides detailed recommendations for improving credit union products and services. Responsible for aligning recommendations with credit union goals. Stays current on evolving and emerging technologies and skills development relevant to the position. This role works closely with the VP of Business Transformation as well as other business leaders to identify and prioritize the most impactful opportunities.

  • Collaborate with business units to evaluate data trends and identify opportunities. Work extensively with the key stakeholders to understand their business and provide appropriate insights for informed decision making. Maintains a high level of responsiveness ensuring business units are supported in a timely fashion.
  • Translates business insight needs into KPI data requirements necessary for building reports and dashboards.
  • Lead the data quality and data governance process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Proactively collaborate with Technology Solutions to develop new and more optimal ways to analyze data.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in data trend analysis as well as overall data analysis guidance to other leaders as needed.
  • Manage vendors as needed to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Three to five years of experience in a similar program leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of Symitar core processing, ARCU, Microsoft Power BI, data analytic tools, SQL databases, scripting, and presentation applications.
  • Proven experience may be acceptable in lieu of listed experience.
  • A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree), (3) or an additional 5 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Leading, motivating, influencing, and training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence others. Strong leadership abilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is a must.
  • Ability to lead at a program level data analysis and governance.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the Jack Henry and Microsoft product suites.
  • Must have excellent resource management and communication skills.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other technical professionals and non-technical leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.
  • A master's degree is a plus.
