About The Position

Finance leadership with purpose. The Leo A. Hoffmann Center is a nonprofit mental health organization serving families and youth with complex needs. We are seeking a Director of Business & Finance to oversee financial operations and support the long-term sustainability of our programs. Position Overview This leadership role is responsible for financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic planning. The Director works closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure strong financial stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Experience in financial management or leadership
• Knowledge of accrual-based accounting and GAAP
• Familiarity with budgeting and audit processes
• Knowledge of HR compliance (FMLA, ACA, ADA, EEOC)
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, internal controls, and procedures
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership and the Board
• Manage banking, payroll, benefits, and insurance programs
• Prepare quarterly and year-end tax filings and required reports
• Lead budget development and long-term financial planning
• Coordinate annual audits
• Serve as liaison with insurance providers and auditors
• Supervise finance staff and support process improvements
