You’ll play a key role in shaping the customer journey from prospect to partner, with a focus on helping developers, asset owners, energy users, and investors navigate the dynamic wholesale electricity markets. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated sales professional with strong communication skills and a desire to grow their expertise in energy markets, technology, and client solutions.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management (energy, software/SaaS, or complex services preferred).
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue goals in a consultative sales environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy, or related field (MBA or technical background a plus).

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% across North America.
  • Knowledge of deregulated U.S. power markets (e.g., PJM, ISO-NE, NYISO, ERCOT) a strong plus; curiosity and ability to learn them is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across targeted sectors including renewable energy developers, generation owners, private equity investors, commercial & industrial energy users, and Load Serving Entities.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, solution presentation, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to shape proposals and deliver custom client solutions.
  • Manage and expand client relationships post-sale to drive renewals, upsells, and long-term retention.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and pipeline updates.
  • Represent CES at industry conferences, tradeshows, and events to increase awareness and client connections.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them understand market changes, policy updates, and revenue opportunities through CES services.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health coverage.
  • Tuition reimbursement to support ongoing growth and success.
