About The Position

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA and a leader in the commercial water treatment industry, has an immediate opening for a Director of Business Development to lead our industrial reagents, test kits, and equipment sales team. Seeking a dynamic sales professional that can build strategic partnerships, mentor and manage a sales team, and generate revenue growth initiatives that align with corporate sales strategies. Must have extensive/proven sales experience and industry knowledge of the water treatment industry or related field. This is a remote position and is subject to customary travel as reasonably required by the Company to perform the essential responsibilities of the role. Requirements

  • AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Director of Business Development position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, or engineering, or related field with at least 5 years’ proven sales experience in the water treatment, petroleum, and/or chemical industry.
  • Requires experience in directly managing and developing a sales team with proven results.
  • Requires a valid US driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to travel as required to fulfill the expectations of the position.

  • A documented track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations and/or receiving positive customer feedback.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce/HubSpot)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
  • Provide and manage regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and monthly analytics.
  • Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals; provide guidance and business acumen to drive sales and maintain professional growth.
  • Comprehend, present and promote the company’s full range of chemical reagents, test kits, industrial equipment, and services.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business strategies and customer relations with overall company goals.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Present monthly sales analytics and review appropriately with team and executive management.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to represent the company.
