About The Position

Pavarini McGovern (PMG), part of the STO Building Group is looking to hire a Director of Business Development in West Palm Beach, FL! Reporting Relationships Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is accountable for all business development and marketing activities, outcomes, and alignment with PMG's vision and values. Essential Functions Develop and execute business development strategies and budgets that support PMG's growth in priority and emerging sectors. Formulate departmental objectives aligned with PMG’s overall business development goals and values. Lead and mentor staff in the design, development, and production of client-facing materials, proposals, and presentations. Build and nurture relationships with prospective and current clients, providing planning advice and guidance that reflects PMG’s commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration. Support the finalization of business deals, working closely with management and estimating teams. Promote company reputation for schedule fidelity, GMP accuracy, safety, and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related construction field required.
  • Proven experience in construction, business development, or marketing; experience with a construction company or in construction design preferred.
  • Outstanding computer and communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of the construction industry
  • Ability to perform under pressure and lead with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and pursue business opportunities in PMG's geographic footprint.
  • Supervise business development representatives and consultants in their pursuit of new opportunities.
  • Conduct and manage research and outreach to identify and prioritize potential customers.
  • Prepare and implement action plans for targeted prospects, ensuring alignment with PMG’s values and delivery discipline.
  • Oversee the creation of proposals, presentations, brochures, newsletters, and magazines.
  • Train new personnel within the department, fostering a culture of safety, respect, and teamwork.
  • Address client needs prior to contract execution, providing advice, liaison services, and planning support.
  • Assist management and estimating teams with the sales process and deal finalization.
  • Carry out additional assignments as requested by the Executive staff.
