About The Position

Persistent Systems is seeking a Director of Business Development, LACAR (Latin America and Caribbean), who will be responsible for strategically growing, scaling, and managing international business in the Latin America and Caribbean regions. The right candidate will be knowledgeable in direct Government Sales, FMS/FMF/BPC and/or support of international resellers. This individual will be responsible for the management and oversight of corporate resources to provide strongest ROI and increased Market share in region. The Director of International Sales will develop short- and long-term strategies to increase revenue and proliferate our Wave Relay MANET technology in commercial, industrial, unmanned systems, and government sectors around the world. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely based in the US or in the specified regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field
  • 5 years’ progressive experience in international sales and sales management
  • 3 years’ experience in technical sales
  • 3 years’ experience supporting Government projects
  • Experience with project planning (including creating and managing work breakdown schedules), project cost estimation, risk management, cost-benefits analyses, progress reporting, and identifying potential business partners
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must have a United States Security Clearance or be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and potential customers worldwide to drive new business opportunities and expand the company’s global footprint through Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Persistent Systems’ global Reseller network
  • Develop, manage, and optimize a global network of resellers and distributors, ensuring they are well-equipped and motivated to promote and sell Wave Relay® products in their respective regions
  • Achieve and exceed international sales targets by developing and implementing effective sales plans and initiatives tailored to different markets
  • Ensuring agreements and programs with Persistent and resellers meet the overall mission, vision, requirements, and objectives of the company
  • Lead sales negotiations with international end users, resellers, and partners, securing terms and conditions that align with the company’s financial and strategic goals
  • Overseeing and planning the annual reseller conference and customer visits to Persistent Systems’ facilities
  • Providing strategies and projections to the Persistent Systems’ Business Development and Sales departments as well as working collaboratively within the organization on joint efforts
  • Traveling to customer and business partner locations for programmatic meetings, demonstrations, and events
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure product offerings meet the needs of international markets and adhere to regulatory requirements
