Psomagen, Inc. is a leading provider of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and multi-omics services headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. As a trusted partner for academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients across North America, we deliver comprehensive genomics solutions with a strong commitment to scientific excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer success. We are currently expanding our service portfolio into the frontier of Functional Genomics by adopting the cutting-edge Cellanome R3200 platform. This strategic initiative aims to provide unprecedented multi-modal analysis—integrating longitudinal live-cell imaging with single-cell genomics—to accelerate drug discovery and basic research. WE ARE SEEKING A HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND SCIENTIFICALLY ACCOMPLISHED DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TO LEAD THE LAUNCH AND COMMERCIAL GROWTH OF OUR NEW FUNCTIONAL GENOMICS SERVICES. THIS IS A UNIQUE "SCIENTIST-TURNED-BUSINESS DEVELOPER" ROLE. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSLATING THEIR COMPLEX BIOLOGICAL QUESTIONS (E.G., DRUG RESISTANCE MECHANISMS, CRISPR SCREENING PHENOTYPES) INTO VIABLE EXPERIMENTAL DESIGNS USING OUR R3200 PLATFORM. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HOLDS A PH.D. WITH DEEP EXPERTISE IN CELL BIOLOGY OR GENOMICS AND POSSESSES A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SELLING HIGH-VALUE, COMPLEX SCIENTIFIC SERVICES OR INSTRUMENTS. THIS ROLE IS AN ON-SITE POSITION IN ROCKVILLE, MD
