Provide administrative and operational assistance to Head Coach in training student athletes who participate in the University sports program. The role involves assisting in event scheduling, travel arrangements, budget management, home event management, and facility use as directed. Additionally, the position requires directing all aspects of game filming, post-game highlight video, and the film exchange process. Supervising study hall and weight room as needed, directing camp and clinic activities, and monitoring initial and continuing academic eligibility are also key responsibilities. The individual will project a positive image of LMU Athletics and the University within the LMU and extended community, assist with fundraising, marketing, and promotional activities, develop community involvement, and participate in public relations activities. The role includes participation in the LMU Summer Camp program, providing leadership to the Athletic Department, and representing LMU within the Athletic community and at professional organizations or associations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree in education, physical education or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years coaching expertise and teaching experience in progressively responsible positions
  • Demonstrated knowledge in sports skills, teaching and training techniques, organizational skills, personnel management and staff development, financial planning, interpersonal skills, and NCAA rules
  • Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information
  • Highly developed organizational and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated computer competency and preferably knowledgeable of word processing systems
  • Salary range $66,600.00 - $86,600.00, commensurate with education and experience
