About The Position

The Banquet Supervisor at Chateau Élan Winery & Resort is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Banquet area, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with local and corporate standards. This role involves managing banquet associates, maintaining service quality, and ensuring the smooth execution of events.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of post-high school education.
  • 3+ years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HEI banquet/catering food and beverage services, policies, or operations.
  • Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to compile facts and figures according to established procedures.
  • Understanding of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, and labor relations.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a luxury resort environment.
  • Familiarity with banquet event management software.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the Banquet associates including captains, servers, lead housemen, and housemen.
  • Interview, recommend hiring, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff.
  • Resolve problems and provide open communication among team members.
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews, recommend discipline and termination as appropriate.
  • Supervise daily operations of the Banquet area, including ordering and maintaining supplies.
  • Review set-up and food and beverage preparation and service to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Meet with customers to review Banquet Event Orders and address any issues or changes.
  • Calculate and review Banquet checks for accuracy and present them to customers for signature.
  • Prepare daily service charges and payroll for accurate reporting to the Accounting Department.
  • Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the Banquet areas and equipment.
