Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in the private aviation industry, managing private air transportation as a leader
  • Broad aviation background including knowledge of FAA regulations, Gulfstream aircraft and third-party charter operations.
  • Demonstrated skill in leadership, communication, and ability to inspire a team of aviation professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and inspiring the best team, along with creating an effective team environment, including handling performance and setting expectations
  • May perform duties as a flight crewmember when properly qualified in the aircraft on a limited basis as part of the flying schedule.
  • Preparing and presenting short- and long-range plans for the Micron Corporate Aviation department, including strategic performance objectives
  • Monitoring and reporting of the operating budget monthly including adherence to cost targets and other operational targets.
  • Partnering with Procurement to contain costs and preparing requisitions and participating in contract reviews, including negotiating contracts as needed for services.
  • Establishes scheduling policies and procedures that provide effective control and management, as well as raises scheduling conflicts for timely resolution.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the maintenance and inspection status of the aircraft.
  • Establishes active and exemplary aviation safety program and reports out on metrics of that program.
  • Ensures department personnel are thoroughly familiar with and follow company policies, appropriate FARS and operating manuals, practices, and publications.
  • Responsible for all record keeping requirements and the proper maintenance and disposition of those records.
  • Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with the FAA Principal Inspectors having certificate responsibility over the company’s air carrier operations, as well as aircraft and maintenance partners.
