About The Position

As the Director of Asset Protection, you will be an integral member of the team developing and implementing asset protection initiatives that support and protect our stores and Division office teams.

Requirements

  • Experience with computer software to include Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to conduct investigations, with good interviewing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Experience in asset protection
  • Leadership qualities to lead and develop the team of Asset Protection Managers and Specialists
  • High energy, solution focused efforts with a passion for investigations
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and/or at least 5 years' experience in retail store operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of District Asset Protection Managers.
  • Promote adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Asset Protection team to conduct regular store inspection checks ensuring compliance of all operational processes related to shrink reduction, loss controls and physical security; assist in follow-up action plans or maintenance calls as needed.
  • Develop business goals, team strategies, and recommend new approaches, processes, policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement mitigating internal and external theft.
  • Investigate both internal and external theft, misappropriation, and fraud issues.
  • Investigate Employment related allegations such as sexual harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, wage, and hour issues, etc. as requested by Human Resources and Associate Relations
  • Assist in the training of store management and associates in the areas of, but not limited to shrink awareness, operational shrink processes, internal and external theft, and serious incident awareness.
  • Coordinate audits in retail stores, prepare and submit required reports for management review.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with law enforcement, other retailers, ORCA and online buy/sell companies to effectively build theft cases for prosecution and restitution recovery.
  • Serve as a division subject matter expert on all related operational and technical projects for Asset Protection
  • Lead and execute business critical high impact projects for the division and ensure they are delivered within planned timelines and expected output.
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaboration with division team and Corporate Asset Protection team.
