About The Position

Uptown Rental Properties is seeking a strategic and analytically driven Director of Asset Management to oversee the financial performance and long-term value of our multi-family real estate portfolio. This role works closely with executive leadership, investors, and property management teams to optimize asset performance, guide investment strategy, and ensure operational and financial excellence across the portfolio. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related field
  • 6-10+ years of real estate experience, ideally in asset management, finance, or portfolio strategy
  • Experience working with multi-family real estate assets
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage investor relationships and financial reporting
  • Strategic mindset with strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the investment strategy for Uptown’s real estate portfolio
  • Evaluate acquisition, refinance, and disposition opportunities
  • Analyze portfolio performance and recommend strategies to maximize asset value and appreciation
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and proformas for investments and developments
  • Identify operational and financial opportunities to improve asset performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for asset owners and investors
  • Maintain strong investor relationships through regular communication and reporting
  • Develop standardized reporting packages, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate meetings and updates to ensure investors remain informed on portfolio performance
  • Continuously improve investor reporting, KPI tracking, and portfolio transparency
  • Drive portfolio financial performance and maximize NOI across assets
  • Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting process for the portfolio
  • Oversee distribution calculations and ensure appropriate reserve management
  • Partner with operations teams to evaluate revenue opportunities and cost efficiencies
  • Collaborate with property management leadership on rental strategies and financial planning
  • Conduct regular property and asset inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Partner with property management and facilities teams to prioritize capital investments
  • Oversee capital expenditure approvals and long-term capital planning
  • Ensure assets are maintained and improved in alignment with Uptown’s brand and investor expectations
  • Support vendor strategy, service agreements, and operational efficiencies across the portfolio
