About The Position

The purpose of the role is to design, own the strategies and roadmap for enterprise document management platform. The role is to align architecture strategy with business goals and outcomes and lead business transformation initiatives enabled by architecture. Partner with product architects and technology decision-makers to guide overall direction of the document management platform and work closely with Engineering Leads, Application Architects, Business partners and Management in a highly collaborative environment. Fidelity's Advanced Process Solutions group is engaged in building enterprise platforms and services that are leveraged by multiple Fidelity business units. As a member of the Enterprise Technology Solution Architecture team, you will define the document management platform strategy, cloud deployment strategy and automation capabilities to support speed to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar discipline, Masters a plus
• 12+ years' experience in full life cycle application development
• Extensive experience designing solutions leveraging Document Management platforms like FileNet, Documentum, Nuxeo, etc
• Good understanding of API security patterns with working knowledge of user management, OAuth, JWT and other network and security schemes
• Experience with designing solutions using cloud service providers, preferably AWS (S3, Aurora, Open Search, EKS, Lambda)
• Knowledge of relational database systems - ex. RDS (PostgresQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDb, Cassandra, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in designing deployment pipelines into Cloud, preferably AWS
• Extensive experience designing and implementing container (Docker/Kubernetes) & serverless architectures
• Extensive knowledge of records management regulations (HIPPA, SEC17A-4)
• Proficient in distributed system design and implementation, and the ability to ensure high-performance, high-reliability operation of large-scale systems.
• Hands on experience in secure coding best practices and source code security scanning and review.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Hands on knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts, microservices
• Solid Understanding of programming languages like Java and/or TypeScript developer with solid foundations in object-oriented programming & design patterns
• Experience executing projects in Agile environments (Kanban and Scrum)

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption across various initiatives within the product development team by defining architecture design patterns and development best practices, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and standard methodologies
• Architect and implement development & deployment of system integration strategies using common tools & methods
• Lead the development of Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate emerging technologies and their business value
• Recommend changes to technology products and services based on market conditions and internal trends
• Your ability to provide technical insight and expertise to the development and support teams in preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions
• Coach architects fostering a culture of continuous learning and architectural excellence
• Deliver impactful presentations tailored to diverse audiences, using adaptive tools and techniques
• Your ability to enforce architecture standards, artifacts, reference models, and decision frameworks that guide consistent and scalable solution delivery
• Present technical solutions in business terms, ensuring stakeholders understand the rationale and benefits
• Engage stakeholders across technical and business domains to gain support for architectural decisions
• Your ability to set vision, goals, and direction for architecture initiatives with minimal oversight and exercise sound judgment in balancing architecture compliance with business agility
