About The Position

The Director of Analytics for Capacity Planning and Inventory Placement at Fanatics, Inc. is responsible for leading analytics strategies to optimize capacity planning and inventory placement across the North American Operations Network. This role involves utilizing advanced data analytics to improve service levels, reduce excess inventory, and enhance overall supply chain performance. The director will collaborate with various teams to implement data-driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives, while also mentoring a high-performing team of analysts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, operations research, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role managing capacity planning and inventory placement strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics, statistical modeling, and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals, including inventory management and demand forecasting.
  • Experience with supply chain analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (SQL, Redshift, PowerBI).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and scenario analysis for supply chain modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop analytics strategies for capacity planning across the North American Operations Network.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics to optimize inventory placement across distribution centers and warehouses.
  • Work with sales, marketing, and planning teams to gather insights for unit forecasting models.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports for real-time insights into inventory levels and capacity constraints.
  • Develop models to simulate supply chain scenarios and provide cost-effective recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align on capacity planning goals and inventory strategies.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management and capacity planning processes.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of the supply chain network.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts and supply chain professionals.
  • Integrate external insights into capacity planning and inventory placement decisions.
