The Director of Advancement Communications and Stewardship is responsible for leading the department's donor communication and stewardship strategy. The individual provides leadership, supervision, and direction for all professional staff on behalf of the enterprise, Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), Delivery Networks (DN) and Service Lines (SL). The strategies at the enterprise level include the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) and its mutual strategic objectives aligned with YNHHS. Overarching responsibilities include editorial oversight and management of content creation for donor communications to include proposals, gift opportunities, fundraising volunteer materials, magazines, publicity, media relations, stewardship, annual gift appeals, and signature events. This position creates and directs all donor communications and stewardship strategy, in collaboration with Development and System leadership, on matters and activities related to all aspects of philanthropy and future campaign planning.
