About The Position

The Director of Adult Workforce Programming will plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the organization’s adult workforce and related employment services. The Director is responsible for pragmatic leadership, project/ contract management, program development, budgeting and ensuring successful project outcomes, impact and financial performance, formulating policies, and implementing industry best practices in program operations that set the organization apart from local providers and poise the organization strategically when applying for additional funding. The Director of Adult Workforce Programming will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external personnel to market programs, maximize referrals, and deliver effective adult workforce development services, establishing Goodwill as the regional leader in adult workforce development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree AND 4 years of experience. OR Master’s degree AND 2 years of experience.
  • Required Degrees: Human Services, Social Services, Business, Management, or related field
  • Required Experience: Must be related to working in human services and/or workforce development field(s).
  • Candidates are expected to provide current clearances (Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprints, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement short-term and long-term strategies that adhere to agency best practices and meet agency standards and objectives established by local funding sources and senior human services leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior human services leadership to reduce duplication, enhance client outcomes, and align services more strategically and effectively.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, supervising, evaluating, and employee professional development opportunities.
  • Develop new programming according to community needs, the program’s capabilities, and workforce trends that may include partnering with existing and new agency partners.
  • Identify potential funding sources, prepare forecasts, monitor spenddown, ensure appropriate spending, as well as reporting, maintain financial records, and review and facilitate new contracts.
  • Oversee data collection and required documentation and reporting submission to internal and external sources, including data required to maintain licensure and accreditation.
