About The Position

Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital located in Titusville, Florida, minutes from Cape Canaveral. Palm Point Behavioral Health treats adults, children, and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility. Palm Point Behavioral Health offers inpatient treatment options and serves communities in Brevard County and beyond. Titusville, located on Florida’s Space Coast, is approximately 30 miles north of historic Cocoa Beach and 40 miles east of Orlando’s famous theme parks. In Titusville, you can tour the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, and Canaveral National Seashore. Not only do you have the abundance of activities along the Atlantic shore, but Titusville also offers an ideal climate, close proximity to multiple dining and shopping options, and a very friendly community. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the administrative and clinical supervision of the admission/intake process, including effective utilization of the nursing and therapeutic processes. To provide quality care, establish standards of practice, provide effective fiscal management, and provide holistic assessments to establish the client’s need and provide appropriate treatment based on the need whether it is to provide referral sources or admission to the facility. Ensures quality assessments to determine the client’s need, appropriate referral sources provided based on need as well as appropriate admissions in compliance with the regulatory and the facility’s policies and procedures. Provides leadership in maintaining standards of profession in the admissions area.

Requirements

  • Masters degree from an accredited university in a clinical area, such as counseling or social work, or graduated from an accredited registered nurse program.
  • Clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Situational evaluation and crisis intervention experience preferred.
  • Certification: LSCW, LMHC, LMFT preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida/Approved Multistate Licensure.
