About The Position

Position Summary: The Director of Admissions is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire admissions process for The Sanctuary of Holy Cross, a premier long-term care and rehabilitation community. This role ensures a smooth, compassionate, and efficient transition for residents and their families while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Director will collaborate with clinical teams, hospital discharge planners, and community partners to promote the facility and maintain census goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, or long-term care setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with hospital discharge planning and referral networks.
  • Sales or marketing experience in healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and achieve census growth goals.

Responsibilities

  • Admissions Management: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the resident admission process, including inquiries, tours, assessments, and documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of admission paperwork and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance requirements.
  • Relationship Building & Marketing: Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, and community organizations to drive referrals.
  • Conduct facility tours and informational sessions for prospective residents, families, and referral sources.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and outreach campaigns.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting: Monitor census trends and develop strategies to meet occupancy goals.
  • Analyze referral patterns and provide regular reports to leadership on admissions activity and market opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to ensure seamless resident transitions.
  • Communicate special needs or care requirements to staff prior to admission.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing admissions in long-term care settings.
  • Ensure confidentiality of resident information and adherence to HIPAA standards.
