About The Position

The Director of Admissions at Gateway Academy is responsible for leading the admissions process for a private day school serving Twice-Exceptional students in grades 6-12. This role involves building relationships with families, overseeing outreach initiatives, and collaborating with school leadership to ensure a smooth admissions journey for prospective students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in admissions within educational settings, particularly in boarding or therapeutic schools, and will be dedicated to empowering families navigating educational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions, preferably in a boarding or therapeutic school setting.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Student Information Systems.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with families and stakeholders.
• Experience working with students and understanding their unique educational needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in marketing and outreach initiatives.
• Familiarity with special education advocacy and legal considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the admissions process by conducting tours and overseeing Shadow Days.
• Build and maintain community relationships with external stakeholders, including educational advocates and clinicians.
• Collaborate with school leadership, including the Director of Education and Director of Student Services, to ensure optimal outcomes for incoming students.
• Engage with faculty to gather insights on Shadow Day performance and student interactions.
• Support families throughout the admissions journey, fostering trust and confidence in Gateway Academy.
