About The Position

Overview The Director of Accounting plays an important role in the daily functions of Acrisure Arena’s Finance Department. The responsibilities include general accounting, payroll, ad-hoc reporting, event settlement, revenue recognition, and account reconciliations. This position works evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the Acrisure Arena event calendar. This role will pay an annual salary of $110,000 to $120,000 and is bonus eligible Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until April 24, 2026.

Requirements

  • 5-7 + years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, Accounting emphasis preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (V-lookups, Sum-ifs, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Highly motivated, with strong work ethic.
  • Must be a fierce communicator, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to reprioritize and shift quickly.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first.
  • Must be a cross-organizational collaborator.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of event P&L’s and manage settlement processes.
  • Record revenue when earned according to GAAP.
  • Track and reconcile deferred revenue.
  • Forecast profitability of contracted and potential events.
  • Create and post journal entries and accruals related to various financial transactions for multiple business entities.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, commissions, off-cycle payments and annual bonuses for three pay groups.
  • Post payroll and related allocations for all salaried and hourly employees in NetSuite.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations and required reporting.
  • Assist with the annual budget process.
  • Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet account reconciliations, initiate correcting journal entries, and recommend solutions for resolving outstanding issues.
  • Support and backup accounting processes.
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including related party reclassification journal entries, as needed.
  • Partner with team to provide creative suggestions and proactive solutions to internal and external customer issues and reporting needs.
  • Complete other special projects as requested by leadership.
