About The Position

X-Bow Systems is hiring a Director of Accounting and ERP to help build the finance backbone behind a company operating in a high-stakes, high-growth environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run a disciplined accounting operation, tighten financial processes, and make sure the ERP environment can support scale without losing control of the numbers. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This is not a maintenance role. You will lead core accounting operations, improve reporting, strengthen controls, and help build the systems the business will rely on as it grows. You will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams and be expected to spot problems early, fix them fast, and raise the standard. ABOUT X-BOW SYSTEMS X-Bow Systems is a U.S. defense technology and rocket propulsion company focused on bringing a lower-cost, more scalable approach to solid rocket motor manufacturing. Its propulsion, launch, and modular boost platforms support defense and national security needs. The company needs finance infrastructure that is just as disciplined and scalable as the products it is building. WHAT YOU'LL OWN Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. Own reconciliations across all balance sheet accounts and enforce strong accounting discipline. Support preparation of financial statements across the organization and maintain reporting integrity. Partner with FP&A and leadership on budget-versus-actual reporting and monthly operating metrics. Strengthen internal controls, streamline workflows, and improve cross-functional handoffs. Support treasury reporting, cash planning, and core relationships with banking partners. Coordinate effectively with external auditors and tax advisors. Help optimize the ERP environment so it can support speed, complexity, and growth. Identify weak processes, manual workarounds, and reporting gaps and replace them with cleaner systems. Operate as a builder: lead the work, improve the work, and keep deadlines tight. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR You are strong in accounting, credible with leadership, and comfortable getting into the details. You can manage competing priorities, communicate clearly, and move between strategy and execution without losing momentum.

Requirements

Significant accounting leadership experience in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment.
Strong ERP experience, including process improvement, optimization, or implementation support.
Confidence running a disciplined monthly close and maintaining reporting accuracy under pressure.
Strong analytical judgment and the ability to translate financial information into practical insight.
A practical, low-ego approach to problem-solving and accountability.
A bias for action, urgency, and continuous improvement.
