About The Position
The Director of Nursing at SMA Healthcare is responsible for providing direct supervision to assigned nursing staff and maintaining adequate nursing coverage for their assigned location and/or program(s). This role involves working as part of a larger operational team of supervisors and directors overseeing clinical programming design, implementation, and delivery that is consistent with model fidelity. The Director will implement and ensure consistent use of the electronic medical record, communicate effectively with staff, attend required trainings and meetings, and ensure effectiveness and efficiency through the establishment of process and outcome measures. The position also includes reviewing charts and data, initiating performance improvement activities, and advancing innovative ideas for improving the overall effectiveness of the nursing program. The Director will ensure a competent and effective staff by directing their selection, development, training, supervision, and ongoing evaluation, while also facilitating coordination with internal and external departments/agencies.
