Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Nursing Informatics, or similar) - Required
  • Five (5) years of nursing experience - Required
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience in nursing education, professional development, academic partnerships, clinical placement operations, or related areas - Required
  • Demonstrated success building collaborative partnerships across departments and/or with academic institutions - Required
  • Current RN license (Arizona or compact state) - Required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advance HonorHealth’s nursing workforce development strategy: rotations, placements, clinical onboarding, professional development.
  • Partner with HR/EWD to support a unified systemwide ecosystem—clear lanes, shared insights, consistent experience.
  • Promote a collaborative, “one team” culture that integrates clinical and enterprise perspectives.
  • Oversee all clinical student placement operations; ensure strong school relationships, efficient workflows, and positive learner experience.
  • Align clinical pipelines to enterprise workforce needs while staying in the clinical lane.
  • Serve as primary nursing academic liaison; co develop aligned curricula, pathways, and innovations with internal/external partners.
  • Lead Magnet aligned development: HonorNurse, tier leveling/career ladders, certification support, leader development, evidence based practice.
  • Build transparent, consistent development pathways that support retention, mobility, and future skills in nursing.
  • Lead the clinical workforce team; set expectations, coach performance, and ensure reliable, service oriented operations.
  • Establish standardized processes, shared metrics, and proactive communication routines with CCE, HR/EWD, Academic Affairs, Nursing leaders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and adopt tech tools to streamline placement and development activities.
  • Collaborate on shared initiatives (e.g., enterprise talent pathways, tuition/scholarship efforts) in a consultative capacity.
  • Participate in workforce planning; bring clinical insights to strengthen system strategies while maintaining lane clarity.
  • Represent HonorHealth in academic, community, and professional forums to elevate nursing workforce partnerships.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
