About The Position
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the development and coordination of activities that promote clinically effective and efficient resident/resident care. The DON supervises and coordinates facility/agency activities with emphasis upon communications, resident/resident throughput, resident experience, rounding for quality, safety and operational efficiency, performance improvement activities, service recovery, compliance with regulatory requirements and NC Board of Nursing rules and regulations. The DON promotes a safe environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner maintaining professional competency in the application of the principles of management. A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
