About The Position
The Director of Nursing supervises and coordinates patient care services of one or more nursing units on a 24-hour basis. This role ensures that physicians' orders are followed, patient conditions and progress are accurately reported, and that patient care is administered by all professional and non-professional personnel in the unit according to organizational and regulatory policies and guidelines. The Director also has staffing and budget control responsibilities for the unit. Leadership experience in the surgical service line is required, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative surgical areas.
