About The Position
Rare opportunity for a high performing individual who is looking to excel in a collaborative science driven organization. The Director of North America Commercial Field Training - Heme is responsible for leading the training efforts for Vertex's hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia) commercial therapeutic area. This individual will lead a team of trainers focused on delivering disease, product, and competency-based training across multiple field teams in the US. The ideal candidate must possess a unique blend of pharmaceutical training experience and scientific aptitude that will enable them to lead through application of learning best practices and subject matter expertise. The individual must be a strong collaborator able to work cross-functionally within the Heme Commercial Team (Sales, Marketing, Patient Experience and Customer Operations, and Market Access) and across the broader organization (Medical Affairs, HR, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance teams).
